World-renowned actor Marlon Brando, Jr. used his normal voice inflection for this off-camera discussion with newsman Edwin Newman that took place on his 51st birthday. Brando was a passionate advocate for the American Indian and also other dispossessed indians such as the indigenous tribes of north central Brazil. The 1978 Academy Award nominated documentary "Raoni: The Fight for the Amazon" directed by Jean-Pierre Dutilleux and Luiz Carlos Saldanha featured narration by Brando. In his later years, Brando also became an advocate for the Palestinian cause.
